WHAT IS THE MANUFACLURING INDUSTRY?

Manufacturing industries are those that engage in the transformation of goods, materials or substances into new products. Manufacturers often have plants, mills or factories that produce goods for public consumption. Machines and equipment are typically used in the process of manufacturing.

Batch production enables items to be created stage by stage in bulk ('a batch').

 

Generalist equipment is used to produce quantities of a product to meet a specific demand.

 

The production process is stopped on the completion of each batch. Batch production is commonly used in food production.

Mass Production

Mass production, is the production of large amounts of standardized products in a constant flow, including and especially on assembly lines.

 

Together with job production and batch production, it is one of the three main production methods.

Continuos Production

Continuous production ensures a company can keep up with increasing consumer demand. Increased worker safety: With continuous production, materials are handled fully by machinery and flow through a sequence by conveyors or other transfer equipment.

 

Continuous production is a flow production method used to manufacture, produce, or process materials without interruption. Continuous processing is contrasted with batch production.
