ENERGY

WE BOOST YOUR CAPACITY

WHAT IS THE ENERGY INDUSTRY?

The energy sector consists of a large group of inter-related companies that cover a wide variety of energy. One is non-renewable energy, which includes oil and petroleum products, gasoline, natural gas, diesel fuel, and nuclear. The other one is renewable energy, such as hydropower, solar power, and wind power.

Non-renewable energy

Non-renewable energy comes from sources that will run out or will not be replenished for thousands or even millions of years.

Most non-renewable energy sources are fossil fuels: coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Carbon is the main element in fossil fuels.

Renewable energy

Renewable energy is derived from natural processes that are replenished constantly.

Included in the definition is electricity and heat generated from solar, wind, ocean, hydropower, biomass, geothermal resources, and biofuels and hydrogen derived from renewable resources.

Transmission and distribution

Energy transmission is the most basic function of global energy interconnection.

Electric energy transmission is an important mode of energy transport, with the flow of electricity generated from coal as well as hydro, nuclear, wind, and solar energy all transmitted through power grids.
